As Supplier Quality Engineer , you will take ownership for quality and continuous improvement across a range of suppliers. You will build relationships with internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful delivery. You will ensure supplier quality to global standards and lead continuous improvement where there are performance issues.

Partner with the best

As Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible to manage any technical/quality aspect related to supplier’s delivered products. All activities have tight relationship with other functions, i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistic. Main goal is to continuously improve the supplier’s quality level, reducing both escaping defects and associated cost of quality, while growing and developing the supply base as per business needs.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.
  • Carry out periodical supplier's audits to verify compliance with company requirements or support the issues resolution.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
  • Leading the suppliers in the execution of defects root cause analysis (RCA) and support the definition of robust corrective actions (CA).

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will have :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality Management)
  • Minimum 3 years of technical experience (product/process engineering, quality, etc.) on machined components or as Supplier Quality Eng. for machined components. Work experience and/or technical knowledge in one or more of the following industrial processes: fabrication, machining, forging, casting.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawing.
  • Technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas will be considered a plus: welding, heat treatment, destructive & non-destructive testing, CNC machining.
  • Understanding / Knowledge of advanced problem-solving methodology (Six Sigma, Shainin, etc.)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Proven analytical and organizational ability.
