The CV should clearly indicate relevant experience, including dates (month and year of start and possible end of the experience) and the knowledge gained in the required areas.
The selected candidate will report to the Head of the Legal and Regulatory Department and will primarily be involved in the following activities:
- Continuous monitoring of national and European regulatory developments;
- Drafting/updating regulations for markets and platforms managed by GME;
- Regulatory consultancy through analysis of legislative proposals and regulatory acts issued by institutional bodies, and support in drafting technical regulations;
- Regulatory activities related to international projects for the development and integration of markets;
- International contracts.
Problem-solving skills, precision, discretion in handling confidential information, initiative, and a team-oriented mindset are essential qualities for the role.

Consultants in the Decarbonization & Energy Transition Investing team work on a wide range of pioneering strategic and operational decarbonization and target setting projects at investor and portfolio company level for private markets investor clients.
We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join our EMEA wide business that will partner across ERM’s industry teams and lines of business to develop value creating ‘Investment Grade’ decarbonization plans that meet the needs of both portfolio companies and General Partner goals, investment outcomes and programs, and which can be rapidly implemented.

About you:
To be successful in the role you will bring:
Fluent in both English and Italian CL1.
Experience in delivering ‘investment grade’ decarbonization plans (board ready, fully cost, supported by detailed ROI and MACC analysis ).
Detailed understanding, and track record of building such plans which go beyond just opex savings from energy saving/efficiency, and into wider business value from higher revenues, strengthened competitive market positioning, lower opex, and enhanced brand.
Experience of managing and successfully delivering decarbonization programs for companies and understand how those operational projects fit within private equity and infrastructure client’s decarbonization programs, targets, and broader investment processes as well as energy transition fund investor needs.
Deep understanding of energy efficiency measures , renewable energy procurement, low carbon solutions, solutions for the built environment, industrial decarbonization, and sustainable value chain initiatives.
Desirable skills:
in-depth knowledge of private equity and infrastructure investors and portfolio operations teams.
experience in leading strategic engagements at the C-suite level and partnering, guiding & educating senior management teams on interpreting, and creating action plans around the development of GHG inventories, decarbonization roadmaps and setting credible net zero and science-based targets.
Knowledge of energy transition investing, experience with setting validated Science Based Targets, decarbonization in infrastructure, private equity and real estate, impact management and measurement, life cycle assessments and Scope 3 abatement programs, supply chain engagement experience working with private markets investors in various sectors are also beneficial.
Knowledge of TCFD, SBTi, ULI Greenprint, LEED & BREEAM certification, TCFD and GHG protocol standards along with IRIS+, The Impact Management Project, and the Operating Principles for Impact Management are a plus.

To be successful in the role you will bring:
Fluent in both English and Italian CL1.
Experience in delivering ‘investment grade’ decarbonization plans (board ready, fully cost, supported by detailed ROI and MACC analysis ).
Detailed understanding, and track record of building such plans which go beyond just opex savings from energy saving/efficiency, and into wider business value from higher revenues, strengthened competitive market positioning, lower opex, and enhanced brand.
Experience of managing and successfully delivering decarbonization programs for companies and understand how those operational projects fit within private equity and infrastructure client’s decarbonization programs, targets, and broader investment processes as well as energy transition fund investor needs.
Deep understanding of energy efficiency measures , renewable energy procurement, low carbon solutions, solutions for the built environment, industrial decarbonization, and sustainable value chain initiatives.
Desirable skills:
in-depth knowledge of private equity and infrastructure investors and portfolio operations teams.
experience in leading strategic engagements at the C-suite level and partnering, guiding & educating senior management teams on interpreting, and creating action plans around the development of GHG inventories, decarbonization roadmaps and setting credible net zero and science-based targets.
Knowledge of energy transition investing, experience with setting validated Science Based Targets, decarbonization in infrastructure, private equity and real estate, impact management and measurement, life cycle assessments and Scope 3 abatement programs, supply chain engagement experience working with private markets investors in various sectors are also beneficial.
Knowledge of TCFD, SBTi, ULI Greenprint, LEED & BREEAM certification, TCFD and GHG protocol standards along with IRIS+, The Impact Management Project, and the Operating Principles for Impact Management are a plus.
Background in consulting preferable but not a requirement.

Our private markets Decarbonization & Energy Transition Investing Team is currently going through a period of significant growth in the market while also servicing an existing large base of private equity and infrastructure investor clients. Consultants in the Decarbonization & Energy Transition Investing team work on a wide range of pioneering strategic and operational decarbonization and target setting projects at investor and portfolio company level for private markets investor clients.
We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join our EMEA wide business that will partner across ERM’s industry teams and lines of business to develop value creating ‘Investment Grade’ decarbonization plans that meet the needs of both portfolio companies and General Partner goals, investment outcomes and programs, and which can be rapidly implemented.
The role will be based in Italy, but we offer flexible working arrangements.
The Role:
The Principal Consultant will be expected to capitalize on existing clients’ relationships as well as building relationships with new clients in the private markets’ investor space. Internally, you will provide leadership that engages and motivates all levels of staff and contributes to the achievement of ERM’s delivery of value-led decarbonization strategy development and implementation projects.
Responsibilities:
Developing commercial strategies to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant revenue growth.
Leading origination and delivery of our client’s decarbonization projects working alongside our clients’ ESG, climate, investment, operating teams, and portfolio company management teams to help them develop decarbonization & energy transition fund plans & programs, measure and improve against the full suite of climate change metrics & targets, and aggregate performance improvements as part of exit preparation.
Working with our clients’ ESG, investment , and operating teams and portfolio company senior management to design and execute ‘Investment Grade’ decarbonization plans for the hold period for new and existing investments and work with those client teams to ensure completion of objectives laid out in the context of their broader portfolio and firm-level ESG and energy transition goals and internal decarbonization operating capabilities.
Leading multi-disciplinary teams across ERM’s sustainable energy solutions, M&A, digital and Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change expert groups.
Providing expert insights, guidance and support to clients and portfolio company management on how to translate decarbonization initiatives and projects into value creating business models to ensure long-term sustainable business value creation.
Leading energy transition and climate-focused due diligence projects throughout the diligence lifecycle on key ESG & low carbon economy drivers to increase value and reduce risks from an operational perspective and provide recommendations for post-investment decarbonization initiative.
