We are seeking a skilled Translator to accurately interpret written and audio pieces in various languages while preserving their original meaning, format, and tone.your responsibilities will include carefully reading and comprehending the context of the given material, utilizing specialized dictionaries and translation tools, and meticulously proofreading the final translations. Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail and fluency in at least two additional languages, in addition to your native language.

Your primary objective will be to deliver high-quality translated content that aligns with our internal requirements and enables us to effectively engage a broader audience.

If you possess strong linguistic abilities and a passion for language, we encourage you to join our team as we strive to bridge communication gaps and foster multilingual understanding


Responsibilities

  • Read given material and research industry-specific terminology
  • Convert text and audio recordings from one language to one or more others
  • Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone
  • Prepare subtitles for videos and online presentations
  • Cross-reference specialized dictionaries and translation tools to check quality of translation
  • Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
  • Follow up with internal team members and clients to ensure translation meets their needs
  • Edit content with an eye toward maintaining its original format (e.g. font and structure)
  • Network with field experts to stay current on new translation tools and practices
Requirements and skills
  • Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role
  • Fluency in at least two languages in addition to your native language
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors
  • Good knowledge of content editing tools
  • Familiarity with translation software
  • Time-management skills
  • BSc in Translation, Interpreting or similar field
  • Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus

This position is part of the Customer Care Organization located in Cassina De' Pecchi, Milan and will be fully onsite. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be part of the Customer Technical Support team and report to the Customer Technical Support Manager responsible for overseeing and managing the technical call center and dispatching operations, ensuring efficient and effective communication between our technical support team and customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide administrative support to the service team, including managing emails, phone calls, quotes, billing and system data maintenance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service and follow-up
  • Assisting in resolving service-related issues, escalating complex problems to appropriate personnel, and following up to ensure resolution

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers, technicians, and internal staff
  • Strong focus on providing high-quality customer service and resolving issues courteously and efficiently.
  • At least 45% of reduced work capacity certified by competent authorities

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 5% travel, overnight, within territory or locations

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Ability to speak more than one European language
