As a Field Service Engineer for Beckman Coulter Life Science you will be responsible for providing high-quality onsite customer support and representing the face of the company to our customers. Conducting routine maintenance, installation, and repair of Beckman Coulter products at customer sites, including calibration, and mechanical and electrical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts and production of Installation/Operation Quality documents. Diagnosing system failures and determines the most cost-effective solution and escalating complex issues to a greater level of technical support or quality reporting system.
This position reports to the Davide Bortolotti, Field Service Manager and is part of the customer Support department working remotely to cover Northern Italy .
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Responding to customer support calls and provide field support within your assigned territory and escalating complex issues as required to ensure a timely fix. Diagnosing system failures and determining the most cost-effective resolution
- Ensuring Preventative Maintenance Inspections and modifications are completed within the specified time frames.
- Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all paperwork, debriefing and reports and maintaining accurate car inventory.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High school diploma or university degree in electronic engineering or similar
- 3-5 years of experience in high-tech research instruments service
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 90% of the time including, overnight, within north of Italy and for training purpose in Europe
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
- Previous experience in Centrifugation, Particle Counting and Particle Characterisation.
- Lab analysis environment.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for taking care the of service business in the specific area assigned to him/her.
This position is part of the Life Sciences Service Department office located in Milano area.
This position reports to The Country Field Service Leader and is part of the Life Science Field Service Team In Italy, located in Milano Area and will be 65% remote and 35% on-site role. In this role you will cover installed base in the North of Italy and sometimes you will support your colleague also in other areas of the country.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Ensure corrective and preventative intervention and qualification on time and with the expected level of quality.
- Deliver effective and constructive communication with internal stakeholders and customers.

The essential requirements for the job include:
- High school diploma or university degree in electronic engineering or similar

- Full understanding of automated workflows.
- Ability to Troubleshoot hardware and software problem in automated systems.
- Knowledge of the standard procedure and process in the labs.
- Familiarity with working in sterile or controlled environments.
- English language with a minimum level B2
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- Ability to travel at least 65% of the time including, overnight, within North Italy and for training purpose in Europe

The LMS EMEA Service Director is responsible for managing all LMS Field Operations related to Service including (but not limited to) the profitable growth of service revenue, installation of all new and demonstration equipment in EMEA, service contract field repairs / refurbishment within the terms of service level agreements, demand service and warranty repairs.
Manage and oversee an organisation with 120 staff, consisting of Field Service Managers , Field Service Engineers , Customer Service Delivery and a Service Contract Sales organisation to ensure satisfactory job performance, business objectives , revenue and profit targets.
Actively pursue customer feedback to ensure customer satisfaction and consistent high quality service support and incorporate Danaher Business Systems Tools into daily work.
Maintain intimate knowledge of contractual obligations of Leica to Customers, Dealers and Authorized Third Party service organizations within the assigned area to properly respond and fulfill the obligations of the agreements.
Own and optimize the regional Service P&L and a chieve business financial objectives set for the assigned area to create above market economic growth for the company.
Recommend purchases and allocations of spare parts inventory, supplies, etc. for the assigned area and maintain/reconcile these items to meet or exceed contractual commitments and customer expectations.
Establish a close working relationship with Sales Management to create a team atmosphere between sales/service and capitalize on sales opportunities . Establish a close working relationship with B usiness Unit Management to address escalated issues and represent the company in a professional manner to instill confidence within current and prospective customers.

You successfully completed an u ndergraduate degree , a Masters degree a plus

Use critical thinking to resolve application issues, train our customers, verify the operational performance and data quality of systems. The Field Applications Specialist (FAS) based in Italy, Puglia (Brindisi or Lecce area) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to provide excellent customer service to clients while installing and maintaining diagnostic instrumentation and systems in hospital and stand-alone laboratory environments.
This position is part of the European Implementation Team and as FAS you will be located in Italy supporting our local and European customers and impacting directly patients health and overall well-being. You will be a part of the Field Applications Specialist Team and report to the Field Application Manager responsible for providing frontline support by resolving customer(s) problems and issues through technical, scientific expertise and troubleshooting. You will help drive revenue growth while ensuring strong customer contract retention rates and warranty conversion. Use critical thinking to resolve application issues, train our customers, verify the operational performance and data quality of systems. • Be supported by a strong leadership team, involved in keys projects to deliver successful installations for our Customers that meet their requirements and that of our company.
• Provide excellent professional support and training to Beckman Coulter’s customers.
• Maintain customer support logs and internal records in a timely manner, resolve issues to deliver a high-quality Customer Experience.
• Develop commercial awareness through cross functional support of the business to increase growth opportunities and demonstrate to our Customers our pioneering innovation solutions and new products for the market.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• University Scientific degree + minimum 1 year of experience in chemical chemistry and immunoassays
• Fluent in Italian and English. Third European language would be a strong plus.
• Ability to interact with customers on a detailed scientific basis to ensure customer needs are fulfilled.
• Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography, as well as periodic travel to other areas and overnight travel.
• Ability to work flexible hours as per the business needs.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
• Requirement to travel within Italy and the European region (up to 90%, 70% Italy and 20% Europe) to support customers using your technical expertise with overnight stays (up to 50%) as needed.
• Hold a current valid driver’s license and good driving record. Associates who drive Beckman Coulter vehicles will follow the Danaher Company Vehicle Policy.
FAS operate independently within their geographic territory; however, we operate as a team to share standard methodologies, mentor and receive expert technical support. Classified as remote worker, provided with a company car, mobile phone and laptop.
