Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and verify the design of HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and Plumbing (potable water, condensate water, sewage, and drainage) systems serving buildings. Lead specialists from other building design disciplines (civil, electrical, automation/instrumentation).
- Ensure the Building Mechanical Systems design complies with legislations, main international standards (EN, NFPA, etc.), and contractual requirements, within the allocated time and budget.
- Facilitate coordination between building design disciplines using an integrated 3D BIM model.
- Prepare Material Requisitions (M.R.) for procurement and Work Requisitions (W.R.) to identify subcontractors.
- Conduct technical evaluations of vendors and subcontractors.
- Review vendors' and subcontractors' design documents and data sheets.
- Provide support during construction, commissioning, and testing activities.
- Participate in the development and updating of KT Standards, Procedures, and Work Instructions within your area of expertise.
- Stay updated on technological developments, standards, and legislations relevant to the role.
Personal Attributes
- Degree in Building or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Building Design.
- Minimum of five years in a similar role.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience working with Building and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) subcontractors.
- Proficiency with drafting tools (AutoCAD), BIM software (Revit, Navisworks), and HVAC/Plumbing design software (CARRIER HAP, MAGICAD).
- Experience in HVAC and Plumbing for buildings in petrochemical and oil & gas plants (e.g., control rooms, electrical substations, laboratories, administration buildings, process shelters like pump houses and compressor houses) is a plus.
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, with strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short and long durations.
