**Working at NTT**
This position collaborates with other stakeholders on the development of the architectural approach for one or more layers of a solution. Their objective is to work on strategic projects that ensure the optimal functioning of the client’s technology infrastructure.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Work in partnership with internal stakeholders on the development of the architectural approach for one or more layers of a solution.
- Participate in the investigation, planning, coordination, and preparation of feasibility studies relative to new computer-based systems and modifications to existing systems.
- Work on strategies and solutions that define meta-architectural designs for solutions, addressing the styles, mechanisms and principles that combine to formulate the architectural vision for a specific environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on the development of new services to take to market, information on relevant vertical markets and keep up to date on developments in specific technology domains
- Participate in the pre-sales process, collaborate with sales on selling solutions and services and engage with clients.
- Participate in the delivery of business development processes including opportunity identification, presales, scoping, deal closing and driving delivery.
- Design principle methodologies to perform a detailed analysis of the client requirements.
- Present clients with solutions and convince and persuade internal and external stakeholders of the right course of action.
**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**:
- Specialist knowledge and understanding of IT industry environment and business needs
- Excellent understanding of multi-technology infrastructure design couple with strategic thinking ability.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

**Academic Qualifications and Certifications**:
- Degree in relevant field
- TOGAF
**Required Experience**:
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment
- Multi-technology infrastructure design experience
- Demonstrable level of expertise coupled with consulting and client engagement experience, demonstrating good experience in client needs assessment and change management

Role purpose

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced GCP Cloud Infrastructure & Platforms Architect to lead the design and deployment of secure, scalable, and policy-driven landing zones and cloud foundations for enterprise clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), best-in-class networking practices, and GCP-native services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement GCP landing zones and cloud foundations in alignment with Google’s architecture blueprints and customer requirements.
- Define GCP resource hierarchy, folder structure, and multi-project setup with best practices.
- Build and manage environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Pulumi.
- Lead the configuration of VPC networking, shared VPCs, peering, DNS, load balancers, and Cloud Interconnect / VPN for hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity.
- Architect and manage GKE clusters (standard and autopilot), ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Develop and manage CI / CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, GitLab, ArgoCD, or Jenkins integrated with GKE.
- Implement secure IAM, organizational policies, and compliance controls as part of cloud governance.
- Collaborate with customer architects, security, and platform teams to align infrastructure patterns with business and technical goals.
- Deliver technical workshops, artifacts, and enablement for internal and customer teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure or enterprise IT architecture roles.
- Deep knowledge of GCP cloud foundations, landing zones, and enterprise networking in cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals, pod scheduling, autoscaling, and node management
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Helm, Istio, and container security scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua).
- Proficiency with Terraform and other IaC tools for repeatable and scalable infrastructure delivery.
- Hands-on experience with GCP networking, firewall rules, Cloud DNS, Cloud NAT, VPC Service Controls.
- Strong understanding of IAM, organizational policies, and billing structure in GCP.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI / CD for infrastructure (e.g., GitOps, Jenkins, Cloud Build).
- Familiarity with security blueprints, compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NCSC, GDPR).
- Prior experience with multi-cloud or hybrid deployments (e.g., Anthos, GCVE).
- Customer-facing experience in consulting, system integration, or cloud advisory roles.

La risorsa, inserendosi all’interno della struttura centrale di Digital Factory, parteciperà attivamente alla creazione e manutenzione dell’infrastruttura ospitata sui principali cloud provider in uso (AWS e GCP), supportando l’erogazione dei servizi in essere ed il team di sviluppo software.
In particolare fornirà supporto nelle seguenti attività:
- creazione e gestione di infrastrutture e servizi su cloud providers AWS / GCP;
- amministrazione sistemistica di base su sistemi Microsoft, Linux e Docker. Patching, monitoraggio, configurazione e risoluzione dei problemi;
- conoscenza di base di networking in ambienti cloud (routing, security groups, firewalling, web application firewall) e della suite di protocolli TCP/IP;
- indirizzamento rispetto alle aree e funzioni competenti per le segnalazioni inerenti la componente di cybersecurity;
- supporto tecnico di primo livello per le applicazioni erogate dalla Digital Factory;
- supporto all’implementazione e manutenzione di soluzioni Building Management Systems.
ESPERIENZE E CONOSCENZE
- Almeno 2 anni di esperienza in aziende di servizi e/o in realtà strutturate;
- Windows, Linux e Container System Administration, conoscenza dei web ed application server più diffusi (Tomcat, Apache, IIS);
- Amministrazione Cloud AWS, GCP (AWS Standard Services plus ECS Fargate, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Docker, GCP Cloud Run);
- Network administration (switch, router, firewall, IPS, IDS, Web Application Firewall);
- Conoscenza dei concetti di Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessment;
- Conoscenza di linguaggi Infrastructure as Code come Terraform o CloudFormation;
- Conoscenza di scripting in Python o altri linguaggi;
- Application Performance Management & Observability skills;
- Conoscenza dei principi di DevOps e pipeline CI/CD;
- Ottima conoscenza della lingua inglese (B2 scritto e parlato).
