Basic Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience of software development and deployment of distributed multi-tier applications
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience using AWS technologies at scale in a production environment
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science
  • Business fluency in written and verbal English
Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations
  • Experience delivering customer-driven software products at a high scale in a fast paced, technology first, rapid-growth company
  • Full stack proficiency (e.g., Java, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, node.js, React)

Overview

Secheron Hasler Italia is looking for a Software/Firmware Developer to join the R&D team at the Verona site. The Software Development we are looking for will have experience in the development of C and modern C++ applications (C++11/14/17). The ideal candidate will also be familiar with development of microcontroller FW. The new resource will collaborate on the design, new development and software/firmware maintenance of Secheron Hasler Operator Terminals (HMI) used in the railway sector and their supporting software tools.

Requirements
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering/IT or similar disciplines;

Software Development Engineer (SDE) The Software Development Engineer (SDE) is responsible for implementing and debugging functionalities of the Train Control Management System (TCMS) and related subsystems within the assigned project. In particular the SDE is accountable for:

  • Experience in dynamic test and commissioning of LORE Trains is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in train validation, particularly with high-speed trains.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as MVB and WTB.
  • Experience in Testing & Commissioning is a plus.
  • Ability to interface with customers on technical topics is a plus.
  • Italian speaker preferred (LORE platform documentation is in Italian).
