Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a skilled Design Manager that will join our Engineering & Construction team. You will be responsible for the technical coordination of our interdisciplinary design team in all phases, from the preliminary or concept design to execution.
You will also lead and integrate efforts across our international Arcadis Delivery Centers, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of project milestones while maintaining the highest quality standards. In addition, you will maintain direct communication with clients and suppliers, managing expectations and activities.
The ideal candidate has already previous experience working in multinational companies with divers teams and expertise, in a BIM setting and with integrated design of building systems teams.
Role accountabilities:
* Coordination of permitting activities and specialist consultancy to obtain building permits (the knowledge of environmental permits as well will be considered a plus);
* Preparation of summary reports relating to the various project phases for the company management;
* Management and monitoring of planning, verification, and control of the execution times of each activity, both for Arcadis teams and external suppliers;
* Management of coordination activities in a BIM environment, formulating inputs and observations on the ACC platform;
* Verification of the qualitative and quantitative technical contents of the design in relation to the project requirements in the various phases of work. Care of official deliveries to the customer;
* Punctual verification of the work carried out by external consultants through continuous contact with them and management of their invoices;
* Collaboration with the field staff and / or with departmental colleagues to anticipate and resolve projects-related problems;
* Collaboration with managers of various disciplines to maintain a strong team, cultivating the relationships between each specialist group and enhancing the work of each individual team member.
Qualifications & Experience:
* At least 5-6 years of experience in conducting activities similar to those indicated in this job description;
* A Bachelor or Master's Degree in civil engineering or a related sector;
* An excellent (C1) level of written and spoken English;
* Good knowledge of single text of the legislative and regulatory provisions on construction in Italy;
* Good knowledge of the use of AutoCAD and Revit (Autodesk) software;
* Good knowledge of the ACC work platform;

Job Description :

Responsibilities : The Design Senior Manager critically assesses design decisions in consultation with more senior staff across disciplines and applies required company standards and country-specific regulations to make the best design choices. They manage the relationship and output of key design partners and equipment suppliers for their assigned projects, critically assess, and escalate issues where the relationship with such partners is not meeting expectations. They own and lead a design process, interacting with Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical Partners (MEPs), and other design partners to deliver a portfolio of world-class data centers with a strong focus on technical excellence, mission-critical resilience, and cost management. Profile / Requirements :
