ENERGY MARKETS REGULATION SPECIALISTWe are looking for candidates who have obtained a master’s degree, single-cycle degree, or a degree under the previous system in technical-economic, political-social, or legal disciplines, with 3 to 7 years of experience in corporate, consultancy, or academic contexts, dealing with the regulation of the electricity and/or natural gas sectors.
Candidates should have knowledge of both European and national regulation, primary and secondary, governing the electricity and natural gas sectors, especially in organized markets and electricity and gas trading systems. Knowledge of the renewable energy sector is also a plus.
The candidate must also possess an excellent command of written and spoken English.
The CV should clearly indicate relevant experience, including dates (month and year of start and possible end of the experience) and the knowledge gained in the required areas.
The selected candidate will report to the Head of the Legal and Regulatory Department and will primarily be involved in the following activities:
- Continuous monitoring of national and European regulatory developments;
- Drafting/updating regulations for markets and platforms managed by GME;
- Regulatory consultancy through analysis of legislative proposals and regulatory acts issued by institutional bodies, and support in drafting technical regulations;
- Regulatory activities related to international projects for the development and integration of markets;
- International contracts.
Problem-solving skills, precision, discretion in handling confidential information, initiative, and a team-oriented mindset are essential qualities for the role.
