Main Responsibilities:
  • You will perform chemical analysis on a variety of sample types including raw materials, semi-finished and finished products, packaging, and environmental samples. Your daily work will focus on quantitative analysis of contaminants using Gas Chromatography, contributing to Ferrero’s high standards of food safety and product quality.
  • Your responsibilities will cover sample preparation, execution of analyses, quality control, and timely data recording using systems such as SAP. You will take ownership of your assigned tests and methods, ensure all results meet regulatory and company standards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory practices.
  • You will play an active role in developing and validating analytical methods, managing reagents, maintaining instruments, and preparing for audits and inspections (ISO 17025 compliance).
  • You’ll also be involved in training colleagues in other plants, managing connections with laboratories across our global network, and supporting the broader FSQ mission with your technical insights. Collaboration and communication across departments will be key to your success.
Who we are looking for:
  • You will bring to Ferrero your academic background—a Master’s degree or PhD in Food Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field—along with practical laboratory experience in food companies or analytical environments. Your hands-on expertise with Gas Chromatography (GCFID, GCMS, GCxGC-TOFMS, etc.) will allow you to take full ownership of the instrumental methods under your responsibility.
  • You will contribute your ability to develop methods, troubleshoot technical issues, and manage medium- to long-term laboratory projects with precision and autonomy. Your strong organizational skills, time management, and collaborative approach will help you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Your fluency in both Italian and English, along with excellent communication skills, will allow you to work effectively in a multicultural team. Your curiosity and passion for the food sector, coupled with your availability to travel and openness to occasional business trips, will make you a valuable part of our international network. Familiarity with SAP or LIMS systems and laboratory software (Chromeleon, Simplicity, MassHunter, TotalChrom, etc.) will be considered a plus.

If this sounds like your kind of challenge and you’re ready to bring your passion and expertise to Ferrero, we encourage you to submit your application today. We look forward to discovering what you can bring to our team!
