About the role

At Four Seasons Hotel Firenze we are looking for a passionate Concierge to accommodate guest requests from the ordinary to the extraordinary .

What you will do

  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

  • Assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.

  • Resolve customer complaints with the outmost professionalism. Promptly inform the Management team.

  • Process packages, faxes, messages, and mail which may be either outgoing or incoming in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Assure that desk collateral and information for restaurants, museums, attractions, maps, and other local attractions are updated and current.

  • Be knowledgeable regarding activities available in the city and establish close contacts with vendors in these areas in order to provide information, ticketing, and reservations for guests.

  • Utilize a variety of software programs to accurately input special arrangements the guest has made and to assure proper billing.

  • Answer internal and external calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Switchboard Operator.

  • Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Front Desk and Guest Services.

  • Support with any other tasks within the division and/or any tasks assigned to by the management team.

What you bring

  • Education: High school education or equivalent experience.  

  • Experience: Must have a minimum of one year experience as Concierge and/or Front Desk experience in luxury hospitality.

  • Must possess excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request.

  • Attention to detail, the ability to multi task and good problem solving skills are required.

  • Previous knowledge of the city of Florence is preferred.

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language. A third language is a plus.

  • Travel required: None

About the role

At Four Seasons Hotel Firenze we are looking for a Shift Engineer, who diagnoses, provides service and repairs to hotel equipment and responds to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons' policies. 

What you will do

  • Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.  

  • Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building. 

  • Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manne

  • Be familiar with all emergencies procedures and respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc. 

  • Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel. 

  • Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary. 

  • Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel. 

  • Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and provide electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups. 

  •  Where required assist with training to all department staff to ensure efficient operation, proper maintenance and repair to equipment. 

What you bring

  • High school education or equivalent experience.

  • Must have a minimum of one year experience in a similar position.  

  • Must possess excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request. 

  • Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance and basic ability to operate computer equipment. 

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian language. Proficiency in English is a plus. 

  • Travel required: None.

About The Role

At Four Seasons Firenze we are looking for a passionate and strategic Director of Sales to monitor and motivate the department activities and team to ensure that all salespersons' quotas are met, sales activities, individual accounts and group bookings are focused and coordinated with transient demand to yield the maximum revenue per available room, to maximize sales in all hotel revenue areas. The position has overall responsibility for achieving revenue goals, KPIs, guest and employee satisfaction and the financial performance of the department.

What You Will Do

  • Hire, retain and develop diverse, high-caliber talent that makes a strong positive impact on the organization, and creates and sustains a work environment that embraces the brand's culture, ensures fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success.
  • Develop and implement strategies to exceed financial results and drive market share, customer satisfaction, employee loyalty, owner loyalty, and brand strength for the hotel.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to effectively manage all the different sales channels and segmentation. Ensure the development of strategic account plans for the demand generators in the market. Deploy sales team against appropriate market segments and constantly monitor performance.
  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan, ensure projects are executed for all market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan with emphasis on increasing sales and profitability, review market analysis and determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates desired, etc.
  • Supervise the installation of sales and marketing procedures and ensure the hotel is in compliance with all company Minimum Operating Standards.
  • Proactively position and market the property to remain a market leader and strengthen Four Seasons brand image. Develop and execute a marketing strategy to drive revenue and meet property objectives.
  • Act as the customer expert and customer advocate at the hotel. Ensure sales and marketing information provided to the operations departments is timely, accurate and enables property to meet or exceed guest expectations, create customer loyalty and grow market share.
  • Identify changing market conditions and introduce appropriate changes in sales and marketing strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations and results.
  • Know the business, the competition, the clients and customer trends. Represent the customer needs to the rest of the hotel, and constantly identify and communicate potential new revenue opportunities to the hotel executive team influencing the development of plans to tap those opportunities.
  • Proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external key stakeholder groups.
  • Create and execute account plans for assigned markets and territories in the Leisure Segment to ensure maximum revenue and budgeted targets are achieved.

  • Effectively manage communication with Four Seasons Sales Offices maintaining regular dialogue and providing Sales & Marketing updates.

  • Be responsible for all aspects of systems, administration, database and facilities of on-site sales activities including procedures and processes specific to the daily operation of the sales team.   • The Director of Sales will also manage specific markets and segmentations.

What You Bring

  • Education: Academic education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Must have minimum 3 year experience in the same position. Proven sales track record is a plus.
  • Must possess strong decision making, selling, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize, delegate and work under pressure are requirements for this post. Coach and development skills are also expected.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct personal behavior in a mature professional business manner when representing the hotel or company.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet.

About the role

At Four Seasons Hotel Firenze the Learning & Development Manager delivers workplace learning, performance improvement programs and engagement initiatives to best achieve long-term business success. This position adds value in meeting the hotel's needs by identifying and implementing learning and performance improvement strategies that support the hotel's strategic direction.

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate training sessions identifying staff development needs at an individual & group level.
  • Ensure department training goals are set and achieved and act as an objective third party in counseling, problem solving or conflict situations where learning issues are involved.
  • Evaluate and communicate the effect of training programs and initiatives through measuring results and monitoring behavioral change.
  • Regularly coach and develop Designated Trainers and Managers in their role and responsibilities and analyze service gaps to improve service levels
  • Work alongside the Senior Director of People and Culture and senior management to determine performance gaps and learning needs.
  • Regularly benchmark the learning function with Corporate Learning Success Levels and market the learning function's programs, initiatives and Four Seasons Learning.
  • Create and adhere to an annual budget for all training programs, initiatives, and learning resources.
  • Maintain training attendance records and employee records (both electronically and hard copy files) adhering to corporate guidelines and local laws.
  • Assist with other areas of People & Culture when needed, actively contributing to the deployment of P&C strategy and engagement plan.

What you bring

Education:

Relevant academic education or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Must have minimum 3 years' experience working in a managerial capacity. Knowledgeable about hotel operations or other luxury service environments and experience in adult education.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must possess excellent communication skills, as well as personal presentation and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. A dynamic and inspirational personality is expected for this role.
  • Strong work ethic, confidentiality and well developed organizational and planning skills are requirements.
  • This position requires regular coaching skills and the ability to build and maintain confidence and credibility with employees, supervisory and managerial staff. Influencing and leadership skills are a must.
  • Advanced computer skills and basic budgeting, accounting and financial management. Current on industry trends affecting workplace learning
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language

Travel required : in cases of training, conferences or special events.

About the role

At Four Seasons Firenze we are looking for a passionate and strategic Director of Sales to monitor and motivate the department activities and team to ensure that all salespersons' quotas are met, sales activities, individual accounts and group bookings are focused and coordinated with transient demand to yield the maximum revenue per available room, to maximize sales in all hotel revenue areas. The position has overall responsibility for achieving revenue goals, KPIs, guest and employee satisfaction and the financial performance of the department.

What you will do

  • Hire, retain and develop diverse, high-caliber talent that makes a strong positive impact on the organization, and creates and sustains a work environment that embraces the brand's culture, ensures fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable business success.

  • Develop and implement strategies to exceed financial results and drive market share, customer satisfaction, employee loyalty, owner loyalty, and brand strength for the hotel.

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to effectively manage all the different sales channels and segmentation. Ensure the development of strategic account plans for the demand generators in the market. Deploy sales team against appropriate market segments and constantly monitor performance.

  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan, ensure projects are executed for all market areas as stated in the hotel marketing plan with emphasis on increasing sales and profitability, review market analysis and determine client needs, occupancy potential, rates desired, etc.

  • Supervise the installation of sales and marketing procedures and ensure the hotel is in compliance with all company Minimum Operating Standards.

  • Proactively position and market the property to remain a market leader and strengthen Four Seasons brand image. Develop and execute a marketing strategy to drive revenue and meet property objectives.

  • Act as the customer expert and customer advocate at the hotel. Ensure sales and marketing information provided to the operations departments is timely, accurate and enables property to meet or exceed guest expectations, create customer loyalty and grow market share. 

  • Identify changing market conditions and introduce appropriate changes in sales and marketing strategy to meet or exceed customer expectations and results.

  • Know the business, the competition, the clients and customer trends. Represent the customer needs to the rest of the hotel, and constantly identify and communicate potential new revenue opportunities to the hotel executive team influencing the development of plans to tap those opportunities.

  • Proactively develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external key stakeholder groups.

  • Create and execute account plans for assigned markets and territories in the Leisure Segment to ensure maximum revenue and budgeted targets are achieved.

  • Conduct sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and entertainment.

  • Effectively manage communication with Four Seasons Sales Offices maintaining regular dialogue and providing Sales & Marketing updates.

  • Lead on-property sales functions and leverages above property sales resources to deliver results.

  • Accomplish desired results by setting priorities and effectively managing through people and processes, using reliable tools, and leveraging resources and other parts of the organization.

  • Assign clear goals to team members to assure success and accountability for results. Encourage sales team to set and exceed challenging objectives. 

  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure work is of the highest level.

  • Be responsible for all aspects of systems, administration, database and facilities of on-site sales activities including procedures and processes specific to the daily operation of the sales team. Responsible for overseeing the contract document, escrow, loan servicing and reporting processes for new sales, buybacks, repurchases and re-sales.

  • The Director of Sales will also manage specific markets and segmentations.

What you bring

  • Education: Academic education or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: Must have minimum 3 year experience in the same position. Proven sales track record is a plus.

  • Must possess strong decision making, selling, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to organize, delegate and work under pressure are requirements for this post. Coach and development skills are also expected.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct personal behavior in a mature professional business manner when representing the hotel or company.

  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Internet.

About the role  

At Four Seasons Firenze we are looking for a passionate Restaurant Manager to oversee all facets of the restaurant. The Restaurant Manager maintains and controls a high level of guest service by ensuring consistent and thoughtful service, demonstrated by the restaurant staff. The manager is also responsible for the hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining of the staff. 

What you will do  

  • Recruit, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all restaurant employees in ensuring that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.

  • Ability to be visible in the operation, provide Guests recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.

  • Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive dining experience.

  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting,  purchasing decisions, Menu Engineering and inventory and cash control.

  • Work closely with the Director of Restaurants, Executive Chef and Sommelier to design an effective menu and wine list while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price.

  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments. 

  • Hold a monthly departmental meeting and foster an open communication within the restaurant staff.

  • Observe physical condition and cleanliness of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.

  • Assist with the service of food to guests.

  • Assist in making dining reservations and seating of guests.

  • Assist with the cleaning of operational areas.

What you bring  

  • Education: academic education or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: must have a minimum of 2 years Management experience in a luxury environment and/or a Michelin starred restaurant.

  • Must possess strong leadership, organizational and people skills, as well as and a drive to deliver an exceptional level of service.

  •  Problem solving, benchmark, innovation capacities are expected for this position.

  • Extensive knowledge of food and wine, guest service, cost control, labor control, menu writing, merchandising and accounting are required. 

  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian and English language.

Guest Services Manager continually strives to exceed hospitality industry standards, while ensuring complete guest and team satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities:

5. Assigns duties and responsibilities to team members. Observes and evaluates team members through open and honest feedback to ensure high quality standards are met.

6. Comprehensive knowledge of Customs and Immigration policies and procedures. The Guest Services Manager is the driving force to ensure maximum compliance with all internal requirements and external authorities as it relates to guest immigration and clearance
