The Geosolutions Geophysicist is responsible for contributing to various projects with a broad range of different acquisition and data processing techniques and requiring knowledge and understanding of geophysics and geology.
The position reports to a Project Manager.
**Responsibilities**
- Process data using the appropriate technology and software.
- Define, build and submit processing jobs, interpret results, provide recommendations on parameters and recommend further testing, if required.
- Validate the accuracy and efficiency of all testing and production job sequences.
- Ensure that processed data is delivered to customers on schedule.
- Interface consistently with customers and advise them regarding processing parameters.
- Keep abreast of developments within seismic and non-seismic data processing and communication and data transfer techniques.
- Investigate and report on problems encountered during data processing.
- Forecast resource requirements and report project status to Project Manager.
- Project archiving.
**Qualifications**
- MSc or PhD in Geophysics, MSc. Telecommunication or Environmental Engineering, or an equivalent geoscience.
