Logistics team is responsible for processes and procedures related to Baker Hughes' shipping logistics and customs across borders. We manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers.
**Partner with the best**
The Global Logistics Customs Specialist will ensure adherence to all international laws and regulations as it relates to the importation and exportation of goods. You will be responsible for monitoring daily import / export operations for TPS and DS sites in Italy and, as necessary, for other European locations.
As a Global Logistics Customs Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that Customs declarations of varying complexity are filed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supporting resolution of transactional issues relating to the clearance of shipped goods by working regularly with Customs brokers and other related logistics providers.
- Managing urgent business requests and issue resolution related to more complex Customs transactions
- Monitoring and track critical shipments and resolve problems when necessary. Monitoring performance metrics/KPI’s and work with the leadership to identify gaps and define CAPA’s for fast improvement as needed
- Ensuring adequate document retention within the region to support compliance with government agencies, international trade regulations and Company’s policy. When necessary, assist logistics, sourcing and sales.
- Collaborating with TAX and International Trade Compliance on any transactional issue, may it be import, export or direct shipment involving BH legal entities
- Providing advice, guidance and training to key stakeholders on Customs regulations, operational processes (e.g. valuation, origin, classification) and KPI’s.
- Identifying Customs risk areas, report to manager to develop actionable plans and procedures to mitigate those risks.
- Attending physical Customs inspections at the assigned sites when requested.
- Supporting the acquisition of export and import licenses in close coordination with International Trade Compliance team as well as with product company Logistics leaders.

- Be comfortable to work in a Global, multi-cultural and matrix organization with minimum supervision
- Be proficient in Microsoft Applications and main ERP systems
- Be comfortable in delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
- Be able to communicate fluently in Italian and English. French will be a plus.

Role Overview
The Import Logistics Associate works across the EU and UK in a cross-functional environment (Logistics Service Providers (LSP)/Customs/Product Managers/Procurement/Operations) and resolves any potential issues that impact Customer Experience and performance. Import Logistics Associate reviews operational cases and validates destination charges, provides timely resolution to the issue at hand by researching & querying internal tools, by taking real-time decisions and having an effective communication with stakeholders. An ideal candidate should be able to understand the core operational flow in order to be able to validate unplanned charges and drive Customer Experience without compromising on time. The candidate should have the basic understanding of Logistics and should be able to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
Key job responsibilities
• Communicate on day to day with internal and external stakeholders in order to deliver all shipments on time.
• Resolve any potential issues that affect vendor experience and delivery performance.
• Understand the issue and make best use of the available resources to resolve it.
• Able to systematically escalate problems or variance in the information to the relevant owners and teams according to processes and standard.
• Ensure to meet all performance and quality goals.
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written as one will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, SQL and/or other data management systems)
• Experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement
• A self-starter who loves data and who enjoys spotting trends.
• Advanced English (Verbal and Written) B2+ level

- A Bachelor degree or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
- Significant Health and Safety experience, ideally gained in a low margin, high volume environment with warehousing and logistics
- Credibility and be able to effectively engage and influence other functional leaders and their teams, to build buy-in to EU HS strategies and change processes
- Used to operating at all levels of the organization from warehouse floor to board level
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - result orientated and tenacious
- An in-depth understanding of essential/relevant EU & Italian H&S legislation
- Demonstrable record of driving significant change through an operation

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:
- A Bachelor degree or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)
- Significant Health and Safety experience, ideally gained in a low margin, high volume environment with warehousing and logistics
- Credibility and be able to effectively engage and influence other functional leaders and their teams, to build buy-in to EU HS strategies and change processes
- Used to operating at all levels of the organization from warehouse floor to board level
- Excellent communication and influencing skills - result orientated and tenacious
- An in-depth understanding of essential/relevant EU & Italian H&S legislation
- Demonstrable record of driving significant change through an operation
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Lean, 5S and Kaizen qualifications/experience
- Previous experience in similar role

Our team is seeking a Multi-Site WHS (Workplace, Health & Safety) Manager who will support the AGLI (Amazon Grocery Logistics International ) operations. This role is responsible to provide technical support, tactical execution, and deliver a strategy for future expansion in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for collaborating with AGLI operations team and the Global WHS team to execute company environmental procedures and ensure compliance with all applicable Country and World Wide regulations. Utilizing risk assessments and compliance evaluations, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to minimize risk and implement best practices. You must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You must possess proficiency in Health and safety regulatory knowledge and demonstrate this expertise when working with teams throughout the EU Operations. You will need to thrive and deliver a strategy for execution across multiple sites in a fast-paced environment.

Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure baseline governance processes and risk assessments are in place, created, regularly reviewed and owned by individual site leaders
- Ensure high levels of support and guidance are provided to the leadership teams to ensure the low-cost operating model is delivered for customers with lean, adaptable EHS program
- Partner with site leaders to ensure they execute safety requirements, track action data entry and completion
- Ensure Ops teams are all able to run their safety toolkit process to ensure minimum standards, engage associates and verify compliance
- Provide guidance and coaching to site based safety personnel
- Ensure site management team are able to assess incidents, root causes and recordability criteria and input information correctly into Gensuite
- Partner with sites and HR to ensure accurate Gensuite recordkeeping, and compliance with EU country legal requirements and OSHA reporting standards
- Partner with sites and HR to ensure occupational health support is provided as appropriate to the country in which they are operating
- Create and facilitate regulatory training to site leadership (via onsite training, KNET, webinars)
- Support sites to build and maintain a safety culture, including deployment and operation of safety toolkit
- Partner with EU and NA Central teams on assessing impact of new processes on safety and environment
- Works with specialist partners (such as ERM) as required to identify environmental requirements, coordinate and track execution
- Assess EU operations to ensure both Amazon and local country EHS legal compliance, and report findings to the EU EHS leadership teams

Amazon Grocery Logistics International (AGLI) operates a total 19 Grocery Fulfillment Centers (GFCs) and one Grocery Distribution Centers (GDC) across Spain, UK, Italy and Japan. GFCs sites average 43k ft2, GDC site with 170k ft2 footprint and include high-risk operations driven by walk-in freezers & chillers ,Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs) - Pedestrian interaction, Very Narrow Aisles (VNA) racking system and yard environment with FLEX and Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) vendors.
