The North American Employee Relations (ER) team supports Field Operations organizations across fulfillment and logistics business lanes. The central objective of our team is to ensure treatment of employees that is fair, respectful, and consistent with our framework of our core business values and objectives. To support that objective, this position’s responsibilities fall into proactive and reactive categories. We are seeking an ER Manager with a demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence field operations managers, human resources, and contractors; to analyze multiple levels of employee and partner feedback to identify risks and gaps; to create, audit, and sustain positive workplace relations programs; and to design and conduct positive workplace relations training that drives best practices. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in employee relations, labour relations, or labour / employment Italian law
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Employment Law, Labour Relations or MBA.
- Fluent in both spoken and written Italian and English (CEFR, C2) in Italian and English (written and spoken)

- Experience in distribution, logistics and / or transportation industries

The ER Manager is a key role within the EU EXR (Employee Experience and Relations) Field organization, reporting within the Country EXR organization. The ER Manager role requires an individual who has significant employee and labour relations experience, deep subject matter expertise, and strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
The role involves helping to develop and implement strategies to address country labour relations challenges for on the road operational business lines and providing labour relations support by collaborating with operational teams to advance company objectives. The role acts as strategic partner for Operations, Delivery Service Partner Management team, and other key internal/external stakeholders.
The primary focus is to drive EXR operational excellence, goals, strategy, while addressing the ER needs within a specific country geography. Leading through complex labour issues and crisis situations with sound judgment and effective communication is key to this role.
The base location within Italy is flexible, with Rome or Naples offered as a suggested base.
Key job responsibilities
Labour Relations Strategy
- Strategy Development: Support the Head of Country to create and implement the EXR strategy.
- Country Execution: deliver business line-specific goals and key initiatives, adhering to the approved EXR priorities and standards.
- Risk Mitigation: Utilise expertise in employee and labour relations to identify potential issues, predict risks, and develop effective strategies to mitigate them.
- Own Your ER Environment: Monitor your internal EXR environment through standard tools and mechanisms, as well as your external operating context (including new regulations and peer practices).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain influential relationships with Operations, as well as other critical stakeholders, to gather information, feedback, support.
- Project Management: Independently manage projects and initiatives aimed at achieving country-level and business line level results.
