Overview
We are looking for an experienced, practical and energetic Italian speaking manager to open a 5 star hotel in Florence, called the Palazzo Tolomei. We will be entirely refurbishing this property and plan to open in 2026.
We have also purchased a beautiful castle, the Castello di Santa Maria Novella. We are currently refurbishing it to a top 5 star hotel. This opening is planned for 2027.
Responsibilities- Open and launch the Palazzo Tolomei and Castello di Santa Maria Novella as luxury hotels, overseeing pre-opening activities.
- Lead and manage refurbishment progress, coordinating with partners to meet timelines and standards.
- Develop and uphold service standards, guest experience, and product quality; assist with staff recruitment and development as needed.
- Collaborate with owners and project partners; oversee activities related to wine and olive oil production as part of the property offerings.
- Fluent in Italian with working proficiency in English.
- Proficient in Excel and Word; comfortable using AI tools.
- Independent, hard-working, practical and energetic with a hands-on approach.

Responsabilità- Ispezionare regolarmente l"Hotel per assicurarsi che sia costantemente adeguato alle esigenze del servizio, nel rispetto degli standard della Compagnia e delle norme di sicurezza previste dalla legislazione vigente.
- Individuare e riparare guasti e malfunzionamenti.
- Sostituire guarnizioni, valvole e altri elementi soggetti ad usura.
- Collaudare gli impianti installati e/o riparati.
- Fare la manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria dei vari impianti (elettrico/idrico).
- Organizzare i progetti di riparazione in modo da non impattare sugli Ospiti.
- Supervisionare lavori di ristrutturazione se necessari.
- Esperienza consolidata in analoga posizione preferibilmente in Hotel di lusso.
- Conoscenza approfondita delle normative in materia di salute e sicurezza.

- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking); proficiency in Italian is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Opera PMS or similar systems.
- Strong analytical skills and an ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

PosizionePer Il Tornabuoni Hotel, situato in uno dei palazzi più antichi e prestigiosi di Firenze, una gemma storica che fa parte di The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, siamo alla ricerca di un Maintenance Manager che entri a far parte di VRetreats e che condivida con noi la nostra passione per l’eccellenza.
Responsabilità- Ispezionare regolarmente l"Hotel per assicurarsi che sia costantemente adeguato alle esigenze del servizio, nel rispetto degli standard della Compagnia e delle norme di sicurezza previste dalla legislazione vigente.
- Individuare e riparare guasti e malfunzionamenti.
- Sostituire guarnizioni, valvole e altri elementi soggetti ad usura.
- Collaudare gli impianti installati e/o riparati.
- Fare la manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria dei vari impianti (elettrico/idrico).
- Organizzare i progetti di riparazione in modo da non impattare sugli Ospiti.
- Supervisionare lavori di ristrutturazione se necessari.
- Esperienza consolidata in analoga posizione preferibilmente in Hotel di lusso.
- Conoscenza approfondita delle normative in materia di salute e sicurezza.
- Conoscenza approfondita dell'impiantistica delle strutture e dei relativi programmi di gestione.
- Conoscenza di impianti idraulici ed elettrici.
- Attitudine al problem solving ed al lavoro in autonomia.
- Flessibilità, ottima manualità, spirito di iniziativa e proattività completano il profilo.
