Role
As a PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER, you will join our HSEQ team to conduct project management activities related to health, safety, environment, and quality. Your initial responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Project Quality Manager in planning and implementing the Project Quality Management System (PQMS)
- Planning and executing Quality Assurance activities within the project
- Coordinating quality activities in the absence of a Project Quality Manager
During the first six months, you will attend a Master in Management Systems in Energy Transition and Digitalization for Sustainable Development (organized by the University of Pisa and Consorzio Universitario in Ingegneria per la Qualità e l’Innovazione - QUINN), starting in the academic year 2025/2026.
The objectives of this program are to:
- Develop multidisciplinary resources with competencies in the HSEQ field within the energy sector, emphasizing sustainability and energy transition
- Provide technical and scientific knowledge of the industrial context in which Saipem operates
- Enhance management skills related to project execution and technological/digital innovations in the energy sector
Qualifications

Role
As PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER you will join our HSEQ function to conduct HSEQ Project Management activities for the Group. In particular the specific tasks of the entry role will be:
- Support the Project Quality Manager in the planning and implementation of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) activities within the project
- Plan and implement the Quality Assurance activities within the project
- When the Project Quality Manager is not defined, coordinate the project Quality activities implementation
The objectives of the Master Program in Management systems in energy transition and digitalization for sustainable development are to:
- develop resources with a multidisciplinary background, with integrated and synergic areas of competence oriented towards activities within the HSEQ professional family operating in the energy sector, a rapidly evolving market that is increasingly aware of sustainability and energy transition issues;
- provide fundamental technical and scientific elements to understand the industrial context in which Saipem operates;
- develop management skills aimed at project knowledge and modules for basic knowledge of technological and digital innovations introduced in the energy sector.
- Graduate in Engineering, Chemistry, Geology and Sciences

We are looking for a Project Quality Engineer , who will report to the Area Projects Quality Manager in the Transmission Division and will be based in our HQ in Milan, Italy.
The Project Quality Engineer main tasks are (in autonomy or in support to the Project Quality Manager depending on the project complexity and resource experience) to plan and implement quality activities within projects, coordinate and supervise Quality Assurance and Control activities, as per the project scope of work (including design, cables/accessories manufacturing, land and marine installation, testing), company methods, contractual requirements and relevant standards and regulations.
Who are we looking for?
Responsibilities:
Dealing with Clients with relation to Quality matters and relevant contractual requirements
Coordinate the preparation of the Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans and Project Quality Procedures, guaranteeing the compliance with contractual requirements and relevant standards and regulations involving internal and external stakeholders (e.g. project teams, plants, suppliers, subcontractors)
Collaborate with manufacturing plants in preparing Inspection and Test Plans and monitoring the product quality and the relationship with Customers.
Assess the suitability of suppliers and subcontractors at tender and execution stage, to review their quality plans and quality activities, ensuring they work in compliance with project quality requirements.
Plan and perform quality training activities within the project team and the stakeholders involved
Plan and perform quality audits to project processes/activities, manufacturing plants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Follow-up client quality audits, non-conformities, complaints, etc. and to ensure relevant problem solving
Promote project improvements, lessons learned and best practice collection and implementation.
Collaborate on the preparation of project quality reporting
Provide periodical project data analysis (e.g. project objectives, performance indicators, non-conformities, complaints, and lesson learned) and relating reporting
Ensure contract review and project close out are performed as per contractual requirements
Coordinate the management of non-conformities and Root Cause Analysis
The candidate duties include also to collaborate with the company Quality for reporting, tendering purposes, and company quality management activities.
Key requirements:
Solid Experience of Quality Management preferably within EPCI work environment, including manufacturing/production, land site activities and/or vessel operations.
Strong Knowledge of ISO 9000 series standards; auditing experience is requested. Be qualified as lead auditor will be a plus.
Knowledge of problem-solving and RCA techniques
IEC standards, PMI, risk management techniques, Lean Six Sigma knowledge/experience/certification will be a plus
Strong leadership, team player
People management/influencing and organizational skills. Analytical, problem solver.
Proficient in English, written and spoken; other languages will be a plus.
Travel expected: about 30%

Requisiti:
Formazione: Laurea in Ingegneria Gestionale, Statistica o affini.

Esperienza: si valutano profili junior o neolaureati, purché in possesso di una formazione tecnica adeguata e coerente con il ruolo. Overview
RDM Group is looking for a Project Management Officer to join the HQ in Milan. The PMO is in charge of managing and coordinating all direction and function projects for all processes (sales, operations, HR, procurement, IT, finance, etc.).
