We are looking for a Project Quality Engineer , who will report to the Area Projects Quality Manager in the Transmission Division and will be based in our HQ in Milan, Italy.

The Project Quality Engineer main tasks are (in autonomy or in support to the Project Quality Manager depending on the project complexity and resource experience) to plan and implement quality activities within projects, coordinate and supervise Quality Assurance and Control activities, as per the project scope of work (including design, cables/accessories manufacturing, land and marine installation, testing), company methods, contractual requirements and relevant standards and regulations.

Who are we looking for?

Responsibilities:

Dealing with Clients with relation to Quality matters and relevant contractual requirements

Coordinate the preparation of the Project Quality Plans, Quality Control Plans and Project Quality Procedures, guaranteeing the compliance with contractual requirements and relevant standards and regulations involving internal and external stakeholders (e.g. project teams, plants, suppliers, subcontractors)

Collaborate with manufacturing plants in preparing Inspection and Test Plans and monitoring the product quality and the relationship with Customers.

Assess the suitability of suppliers and subcontractors at tender and execution stage, to review their quality plans and quality activities, ensuring they work in compliance with project quality requirements.

Plan and perform quality training activities within the project team and the stakeholders involved

Plan and perform quality audits to project processes/activities, manufacturing plants, suppliers and subcontractors.

Follow-up client quality audits, non-conformities, complaints, etc. and to ensure relevant problem solving

Promote project improvements, lessons learned and best practice collection and implementation.

Collaborate on the preparation of project quality reporting

Provide periodical project data analysis (e.g. project objectives, performance indicators, non-conformities, complaints, and lesson learned) and relating reporting

Ensure contract review and project close out are performed as per contractual requirements

Coordinate the management of non-conformities and Root Cause Analysis

The candidate duties include also to collaborate with the company Quality for reporting, tendering purposes, and company quality management activities.

Key requirements:

Solid Experience of Quality Management preferably within EPCI work environment, including manufacturing/production, land site activities and/or vessel operations.

Strong Knowledge of ISO 9000 series standards; auditing experience is requested. Be qualified as lead auditor will be a plus.

Knowledge of problem-solving and RCA techniques

IEC standards, PMI, risk management techniques, Lean Six Sigma knowledge/experience/certification will be a plus

Strong leadership, team player

People management/influencing and organizational skills. Analytical, problem solver.

Proficient in English, written and spoken; other languages will be a plus.

Travel expected: about 30%

As the Project Quality Engineer with Dematic, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of deliverables throughout the customer lifecycle, from project planning and design to implementation and closure and the next phase of Lifecycle Services and Solutions. • Quality Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement tailored quality plans aligned with company standards and project goals; define clear quality objectives, metrics, and acceptance criteria; identify and mitigate quality risks early in the project lifecycle; monitor and report on quality status across dedicated projects.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Project Execution
• Bachelor's degree in quality management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Proven ability to write and produce technical reports
• Ability to oversee internal and external quality audits
• Strong knowledge of codes, standards and expertise in quality management
• Proven skills in quality improvement techniques and Risk Management
• Previous experience in Intralogistics / Supply Chain / Machine Engineering
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong problem-solving ability
• Leader and team player with conflict resilience, "right-first time" mentality
• Capibility to maintain a positive attitude through change and collaboration

As PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER you will join our HSEQ function to conduct HSEQ Project Management activities for the Group. In particular the specific tasks of the entry role will be:

• Support the Project Quality Manager in the planning and implementation of the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) activities within the project

·    Elaborare report tecnici e documentazione specifica relativa ai controlli di capacità produttiva, saturazione linee e qualità effettuati sulle commesse assegnate e sui capi di abbigliamento

·    Redigere analisi dettagliate sui dati quantitativi e qualitativi raccolti, utili alla valutazione delle performance produttive e a supporto delle decisioni strategiche

·    Supportare la rilevazione tempestiva di criticità e non conformità dei laboratori utilizzati rispetto ai parametri di gruppo

Requisiti:

Formazione: Laurea in Ingegneria Gestionale, Statistica o affini. 

Lingue: Buona conoscenza della lingua italiana e buona conoscenza della lingua inglese.

Esperienza: si valutano profili junior o neolaureati, purché in possesso di una formazione tecnica adeguata e coerente con il ruolo. È preferibile una specializzazione nel settore tessile e una conoscenza di base degli indicatori di capacità produttiva, saturazione delle linee produttive e qualità applicati ai processi produttivi.
