Duties/role
  • In line with the current Service Level Agreement (SLA), carrying out timely allocation of resources and co-ordination of the response in the resolution of incidents, while providing advice on the investigation and diagnosis of problems, working with users, other staff and suppliers as appropriate. Managing any problems will need to done in accordance with agreed NCIA standards and procedures;
  • Ensuring that the day-to-day Systems Administration of the Software (SW) of the currently fielded ICT services and other locally installed COTS software are running well and according to SLA principles;
  • Leading troubleshooting efforts on assigned devices; while providing technical advice and guidance to other CSU staff on all aspects of systems supported by the cell.

The Data Center Manager is the leadership role for our compute operations teams within an AWS region. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Stiamo cercando un Tecnico Data Center da inserire all’interno del team Customer & Technical Support per la nostra sede di Trieste. La figura si occuperà delle attività di installazione delle infrastrutture di rete, di server e di impianti elettrici presso i nostri clienti. Inoltre, collaborerà con il nostro Team IT per garantire l’integrazione e il funzionamento ottimale delle infrastrutture.

L’attività prevede una forma di lavoro in presenza .

Di cosa ti occuperai?

  • Realizzazione di interventi elettrici di base , tra cui l’installazione di prese, canaline e quadri elettrici, nel rispetto delle normative vigenti e degli standard di sicurezza
  • Cablaggio strutturato e configurazione di reti LAN , con particolare attenzione all’organizzazione ordinata e funzionale di sale server e armadi rack
  • Preparazione e terminazione di cavi di rete (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) , garantendo performance ottimali e riduzione delle interferenze
  • Installazione di dispositivi di rete , come patch panel, switch, router e altri apparati, assicurando la piena operatività dell’infrastruttura
  • Installazione a rack e manutenzione di server presso le nostre sale server
  • Interpretazione di schemi elettrici e planimetrie di rete , per una corretta esecuzione degli interventi e una pianificazione efficace delle attività
  • Collaborazione attiva con il team IT , per integrare in modo sinergico le infrastrutture elettriche e di rete all’interno dell’ambiente tecnologico aziendale
  • Diagnosi e risoluzione di guasti , con interventi di manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria volti a garantire la continuità operativa dei sistemi

Sei la nostra persona se:

  • Sei in possesso di un Diploma in ambito tecnico (elettrico, elettronico o informatico)
  • Hai un’esperienza, anche minima, nel settore elettrico e di cablaggio reti

**Responsibilities**
+ Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifies the cause(s) of issues, and replaces faulty components with minimal customer and business disruption.
+ Performs post-execution quality checks and verifies that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).

+ Completed High/Secondary School, GED, an apprenticeship/vocational qualification, or equivalent experience and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
+ Experienced in diagnostics, troubleshooting , route cause analysis of hardware deployments.

Posizione

ATTIVITÀ / RESPONSABILITÀ

La figura, con solide capacità di problem solving, team working e visione end to end, collaborando all'interno del team IT Infrastructure & Data Center, si occuperà di:

  • Monitoraggio e supervisione delle operazioni IT assicurando il corretto funzionamento quotidiano di server, storage, reti e sistemi del Data Center, intervenendo prontamente in caso di anomalie.
  • Collaborare alla risoluzione di incident critici e problemi operativi, coordinando risorse interne ed esterne e contribuendo all'identificazione della causa radice.
     
  • Supportare la pianificazione e l'esecuzione di rilasci software e cambiamenti infrastrutturali, verificando la qualità tecnica e la corretta documentazione dei processi.
     
  • Interfacciarsi con team multi-disciplinari per comprendere le necessità operative, pianificando e organizzando le risorse per soddisfare le richieste.
  • Partecipare a iniziative di miglioramento operativo e progettuale del Data Center, come automazioni, aggiornamenti infrastrutturali o introduzione di nuovi strumenti di monitoraggio.

REQUISITI

Il candidato ideale dovrà avere maturato le seguenti competenze:

  • Almeno 2-4 anni di esperienza diretta in Data Center;
     
  • Conoscenza di Windows Server e Linux (RHEL), con esperienza su installazione, patching e troubleshooting;
     
  • Esperienza con VMware e tecnologie di virtualizzazione;
     
  • Conoscenza di storage SAN/NAS, gestione backup/restore e concetti di DR con parametri RPO/RTO;
     
  • Conoscenze di networking L2/L3, cablaggi, rack e server room;
     
  • Esperienza nella pianificazione di deploy, roll-back, release e attività di change, con capacità di documentare i processi;
     
  • Conoscenze base di scripting (Bash o Python) e partecipazione a progetti di ottimizzazione/automazione infrastrutturale;
     
  • Ottime capacità di team working e collaborazione con diversi stakeholder;
     
  • Problem solving e approccio pragmatico in contesti critici;
     
  • Gestione dello stress in ambienti mission-critical e comunicazione chiara sotto pressione.
     

Requisiti preferenziali: 

  • Laurea in Informatica, Ingegneria Informatica o similari;
  • Esperienza in progetti di IT Transformation, migrazione workload tra architetture diverse e introduzione di strumenti di automazione (Ansible, Terraform) o DCIM;
  • Certificazioni gradite e almeno una necessaria: ITIL Foundation, VMware VCP, PMP;
  • Familiarità con strumenti di monitoraggio (Nagios, Zabbix, Dynatrace o alternative cloud) e capacità di interpretare metriche chiave per tuning e capacity planning.

Full Time (38,5 h settimanali) – Dal lunedì al venerdì, con flessibilità di ingresso dalle 08:00 alle 09:30.

Modalità di lavoro: Formula Ibrida. Dopo il periodo iniziale di onboarding, sono previsti 2 giorni di smart working a settimana, oltre a 10 giornate aggiuntive di lavoro da remoto nell'arco dell'anno (non cumulabili).

As a Data Center Design Manager you will be part of a global engineering leadership team, comprised of highly effective Architects, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Engineers. You will have impact on the design direction and ability to improve design delivery for all APAC projects, while establishing design procedures and protocols for the development of future systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of engineers in the design of data center critical infrastructure systems
  • Facilitating weekly meetings with internal engineer resources, internal customers and external consultants to address design issues, meet design milestones and escalate as needed
  • Driving process improvements, tool optimization, and preparing monthly/quarterly business review reports across region
  • Creating and tracking metrics related to cost, quality and duration of design as well as collecting data from construction and commissioning teams as designs are implemented
  • Establishing capital project design budgets and contributing to complex business cases for existing region and new region deployment
  • Collaborating with AWS finance teams to secure funding for projects
  • Working in partnership with AWS Engineering leads to schedule engineering resources and influence design changes based on internal customer needs
  • Partnering with internal customers to establish project scope, schedule and deliverables
  • Managing document controller’s workflow and audit of deliverables
  • Managing the interfaces, stakeholders’ coordination and have oversight on follow-through from due diligence to design, to construction to operations across project life cycle
  • Driving permits approvals and interfacing with respective AHJ

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Architecture

- Minimum of 8 years of Project Management or Project Lead experience including RFQ/RFP process, selecting engineering teams, developing budgets, coordinating multiple consultant teams and facilitating meetings.

- Minimum of 8 years professional experience in data center or mission critical facility design with basic multidisciplinary knowledge of mission critical systems, design process, pre-construction requirements and the construction process.

- Direct experience in negotiating with regulatory agencies regarding departures from building code and construction change orders.

- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to senior leadership or non-engineers, develop basic business case financial projections and create performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional Engineering or Architectural License

- 10+ years of directly related to data center design, construction, operations, and/or facility maintenance experience.

- Direct experience with delivering modular data centers design projects, including procurement and commissioning of facilities.

- Functional knowledge of industry standards, environmental codes, building codes and safety standards including International Building Code.

- Working Knowledge BIM, Salesforce, Procore and Smartsheets software
