The role of the Data Analyst involves maintaining and integrating data concerning equity securities, including corporate actions and dividends. The analyst must ensure accuracy, understand various financial instruments, and have knowledge of international taxation related to securities. Responsibilities include managing the entity database, ensuring proper data coding and corporate group structures, and interacting proactively with clients.
Responsibilities
- Track all lifecycle events of financial instruments (dividends, corporate actions, etc.) for securities listed on designated stock exchanges.
- Collect company and security data requested by clients, ensure coverage of corporate groups, and monitor IPOs.
- Acquire financial data from relevant markets.
- Manage corporate actions involving issuers.
- Interact with companies to update corporate information.
- Support clients via help desk, ensuring internal systems are updated.
- Analyze and maintain tax-related content concerning reviewed securities.
Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an economic field.
- Experience in financial services is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across teams.
- Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
- Understanding of data storage and flow in systems and databases.
- Proficiency in English and Italian (spoken and written).
- Experience with SQL and programming languages like Python.

Job Purpose

- Acquire financial data for issuers and securities from relevant markets
- Manage both ordinary and extraordinary corporate actions involving issuers.
- Interact occasionally with companies (e.g., investor relations) to acquire and update corporate information
- Deliver client support via the help desk, assisting with the content monitored and implemented within internal systems
- Analyze, monitor, and maintain specific tax-related content concerning the securities under review
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in an economic field
- Experience in the financial services industry would be an asset
- Strong collaboration skills – ability to navigate cross functional teams to deliver on shared objectives
- Must have the ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organization
- Understanding of how data is stored and flows through systems and databases
