A dynamic leading company in the footwear sector, in strong expansion, with a managerial and international context, with offices in Italy and abroad, has commissioned us to select the Product Development Manager to lead the technical development and industrialization of a particular new product.

Working closely with customers, design team in Italy and manufacturing partners in China, the resource will contribute with new ideas for the product and applications (gloves, accessories and functional fabrics for apparel).

He/she will lead technical development from the concept to the industrialization, report data and analysis and prepare business case referring to product strategy and Planning. Furthermore, the candidate will interface with customer technical and design team, collaborate with China based R&D office to develop customized solutions.

5 years' experience in the same sector, degree in engineering, material science or related field, experience leading to development projects in performance footwear, project management, team working, availability to travel in Italy and China and analytical, problem-solving attitude and proficient English are required.

The research is aimed at both genders L. 903/77 e L. 125/91.

Key responsibilities and tasks

  • Support Program Development Manager in coordinating the development team
  • Ensure system/product performance targets are achieved
  • Contribute to design-to-cost initiatives and product cost reduction
  • Support decision-making processes with stakeholders (design choices, make or buy, roadmap)
  • Organize and follow up on Design & Peer Reviews
  • Support transversal métiers (Safety, Cybersecurity, RAM, Industrialization)
  • Assist in configuration and requirement management, CCBs, and delivery reviews


Technical Skills Required

  • Engineering degree
  • Knowledge of signaling systems is a plus
  • Experience in QCD management and design-to-cost practices
  • Experience in configuration and requirements management


Transversal Skills

  • Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills


Languages:
