Based in Milan, eLab Technology is ASW Group digital Polo. It takes care of Omnichannel Strategy for European Brands of the group, delivering e-commerce, mobile, and in-store innovative solutions. The A.S. Watson Group eLab Technology department is looking for a passionate QA Lead to join the team in Milan. The QA Lead will be dedicated to software validation of the Hybris eCommerce platform on all the Group Business Units over Europe and responsible to assure a quality service to the client on test of new releases and fixes as part of the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities- A typical day in this role includes
- Performs and leads release validation in test environment
- Prepare, review and execute Test Cases
- Able to estimate and plan test activities efforts
- Lead release validation in the integrated systems environment supporting the acceptance stage with our BUs
- Informs QA Manager about issues and priorities
- Provide input and assistance to the development team to identify and resolve defects
- Identifies areas of test improvement through analysis, experience and use of metrics
- Produce reports on QA activities
- Responsible for test strategy definition
- Coordinate QA Teams
- Could be required to travel across Europe
- What you’ll need
- Degree in Computer Science Engineering or another related field
- 3+ years of experience in retail or consulting company
- Experience of manual / automated / API testing
- Fluent in Italian, English is a must, we are international
- Proactive with a high attention to detail
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- You are able to work well in a team and have strong interpersonal skills

About The Job
The QA Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance function across Tether Data. This role ensures that product releases meet defined quality standards through the development and execution of test strategies, frameworks, and automation. The QA Lead works closely with the teams, Dev-Ops and Product to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
The QA Lead serves as the quality champion within Tether Data and plays a key role in shaping the overall testing culture and processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of QA strategies across projects within Tether Data.
- Define and implement test plans, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing with development and release processes.
- Evaluate feature proposals, ensuring that they are well defined and verifiable.
- Monitor and report on quality KPIs, defects, and test coverage.
- Drive automation efforts and optimize CI/CD pipelines for test integration.
- Advocate for quality-first principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Raise no-go warnings for version releases that do not meet acceptable quality criteria.
- Provide mentorship to the QA team.
- Contribute to the implementation and management of testing tools.
- At least 4+ years of experience in a QA Lead field.
- A self-driven and proactive personality is essential – You will be given significant autonomy to tackle the challenges you’re given.
- Experienced with creating and implementing QA strategies and tooling across multiple projects.

Your responsibilities- Design and implement fully automated test suites, CI/CD pipelines, and tools for our product teams

- Collaborate with product engineers to troubleshoot and resolve them successfully

In this role, you will handle System and Software testing, support V-Model deployment, and help ensure quality and reliability in safety-critical electronic systems.

- Contribute to software release planning and change management
- M. Sc in Automation / Robotics / Electronics / Mechatronics engineering
- Knowledge of V-Model best practices
- Ability to manage system and integration testing effectively
- Confidence in setting up test environments and writing test cases
- Ability to generate clear reports and track defects
- Knowledge of unit testing, ASPICE standards, Jira, and Python for automation
- Ability to think analytically and pay close attention to detail
