About the team

As a Security Engineer, you will build or enhance existing automation to improve operational efficiency or generate new insights from existing data. You will meet with other teams across the Global Services organization to collaborate on security mechanisms, like partner onboarding and offboarding workflows, to improve consistency and compliance throughout the organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

La risorsa verrà inserita all'interno del nostro SOC ed opererà all'interno di un team multidisciplinare, contribuendo alla protezione delle applicazioni web, supportando attività di analisi tecnica, hardening, monitoraggio e remediation su ambienti on-prem, hybrid e cloud-native.

Responsabilità principali
  • Progettazione, implementazione e gestione di soluzioni WAF avanzate (es. F5, Fortinet, AWS WAF, ecc.) in contesti enterprise;
  • Analisi delle esigenze di sicurezza applicativa, modellazione delle minacce e definizione di policy su misura;
  • Ottimizzazione di configurazioni WAF: gestione signature, protezione DoS/DDoS, difesa da bot e da minacce mirate;
  • Produzione di documentazione tecnica, playbook e runbook per la gestione operativa e la risposta agli incidenti;
  • Supporto a progetti di audit, assessment di sicurezza e compliance (es. PCI-DSS, NIS2, DORA, GDPR);

Requisiti richiesti
  • Esperienza comprovata nella gestione di almeno una delle seguenti soluzioni WAF F5, Fortinet, Imperva, Cloud-native WAF);

  • Esperienza nella configurazione avanzata di moduli di sicurezza applicativa e nella scrittura di regole custom (es. iRules, custom signatures, policy XML/JSON);
  • Competenze in ambienti cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) per gli aspetti di Web Application Security ;
  • Esperienza in ambienti ad alta criticità (finance, telco, public sector) e su progetti mission-critical;
  • Familiarità con strumenti di automazione e logging;
  • Buona conoscenza della lingua inglese (livello B1/B2);
Competenze preferenziali

A few examples of your responsibilities

  • Run security audits, identifying security loopholes and opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of security strategies.
  • Perform internal vulnerability testing, uncovering any weaknesses in the systems and implementing countermeasures to ensure the integrity of all data.
  • Identify company-wide security challenges. Design and implement solutions to strengthen protection and streamline security practices across IT and infrastructure areas.
  • Collaborate closely with privacy experts to ensure the most robust and complete privacy compliance strategy possible, and to translate regulations into tech implementations.
  • Stay up to date with security trends and threats. Share knowledge with Spooners to ensure data protection best practices and help foster a security-focused culture across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and perform the implementation of security changes on the infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot issues on the network, with focus on security-related problems
  • Maintain the infrastructure to ensure smooth network operation
  • Perform deployments of new network and security devices as well as entire new locations
  • Assist with the design or engineering of new security solutions or significant changes to existing ones
  • Collaborate with other teams when needed for troubleshooting or implementations

Requirements

  • Knowledge of common routing and switching concepts and protocols (STP, PVST, BGP)
  • Proven experience working with Fortinet firewall devices (100F, 200G/F, 80F, 501E, 1800F, 1100E)
  • Good understanding of central management solutions for security devices (FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient)
  • Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching - control and monitoring of network infrastructure
  • Expertise in securing cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Azure), especially multi-cloud networks and infrastructure
  • Experience working in a data center environment (installation or cabling of network devices) is preferred
  • Experience with Juniper JunOS devices is a plus

Certifications

  • Fortigate Administrator (ex NSE4), FCP-NS, FCP-SO (ex NSE5) certifications or equivalent is desirable

Security Engineer

Il/la candidato/a ideale sarà responsabile della progettazione e dell'implementazione di soluzioni di sicurezza dei nostri clienti e collaborerà con altri team tecnici per garantire la protezione efficace dei dati e delle risorse.

La risorsa che individueremo si occuperà di progettazione e implementazione della Sicurezza:

  • Sviluppare e implementare soluzioni di sicurezza per proteggere l'infrastruttura, le applicazioni e i dati aziendali, garantendo che le soluzioni adottate siano conformi agli standard di sicurezza e alle best practice del settore;
  • Implementare soluzioni per il controllo degli accessi e la gestione delle identità, garantendo che solo gli utenti autorizzati possano accedere alle risorse aziendali;
  • Implementare sistemi di monitoraggio avanzati per rilevare e rispondere prontamente agli incidenti di sicurezza, assicurando la continuità operativa.
REQUISITI

Titolo di studio :
Preferibile Laurea in Ingegneria Informatica o esperienza equivalente.

Seniority :
Senior, esperienza nel ruolo di almeno 8 anni.

Competenze tecniche/informatiche :
Si richiede una comprovata esperienza e competenza nella progettazione e implementazioni di soluzioni specifiche in uno o più ambiti:

  • Endpoint Security;
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM, Priviliged Access Management, Multi Factor Authentication, etc.);
  • Boundary Protection (NGFW, Secure Web Gateway, Secure Email Gateway, Web Application Firewall, NAC, etc.);
  • Data Security (DB Security, DLP, etc.);
  • SIEM e SOAR (esperienza nella progettazione);
  • Si richiede familiarità con virtualizzazione (VMware, Nutanix, etc.), networking e sistemi operativi (Windows e Linux).

Competenze comportamentali :
Eccellenti capacità di comunicazione e capacità di collaborare con diverse funzioni aziendali, Fornitori e Clienti;

Capacità di lavorare in modo autonomo e gestire progetti complessi.

Conoscenze linguistiche :
Conoscenza lingua inglese (B2).

Certificazioni :
Certificazioni come CISSP, CISM, o equivalenti sono un plus.
