The Product Sales Specialist Clinical IT for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for planning, developing, implementing all the activities related to the Clinical IT solutions.

This position is part of the Solution Design team located in Italy and will be fully remote . At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Clinical IT team and report to the Clinical IT Manager responsible for coordinating both upstream (the product) and downstream (the go to market) sales, marketing, project management areas and consulting post-sales activities for the Beckman Coulter Clinical IT portfolio. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the healthcare IT landscape to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments with healthcare professionals and IT departments. Present compelling product demonstrations and proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, customer support, and professional services, to ensure seamless customer experience from pre-sales to post-implementation.
  • Manage any issues that may arise during the project's implementation and identify the corrective actions necessary to complete it in the required timeline.
  • Build and preserve relationships with customers through constant follow-up to understand their needs and meet them through the adoption of targeted solutions to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted consultant for the costumers for the Clinical IT solutions. Sharing new ideas on possible improvements and developments for Clinical-IT products.
  • Maintain an expert-level understanding of our clinical IT product portfolio

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Degree in Biomedical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3-years experience in IT solutions for IVD market (e.g. Lab. Middleware, LIS, etc.)
  • Customer’s communication and listening attitude
  • Fluency in Italian & English
  • Ability to work flexible hours as business needs, available to travel 50%-70% of the time.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Italian and English.

It would be a plus if you have:

  • Platform Expertise: Strong proficiency in electronic platforms such as MEPA and Sintel.

Job Summary:

The Automation Application Specialist in the diagnostics industry is responsible for supporting the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of automated diagnostic systems and workflows. Key Responsibilities:

1. Implementation and Support:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and validation of automated diagnostic systems.
  • Ensure that automation solutions are integrated seamlessly with existing laboratory workflows.

2. Customer Training and Education:

The BP Filtration Sales Specialist & related consumables Italy is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned territory on products and establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts .

This position reports to the BioProcess Zone Filtration leader – South and Export and is part of the BioProcess Filtration team located in Italy and will be working remotely to cover North and Central Italy territory.

What you will do:

  • Be responsible for growth and expansion direct sales and profit
  • Focus on growth and find new business opportunities in the assigned territory
  • Forecasting the filtration business including recurring business and new one
  • Work with research or development department in order to be specified in new target molecules that are in clinical phase
  • Support other colleagues selling products not included in your portfolio

Who you are:

  • Education: degree in chemistry or biology or equivalent scientific degree
  • Years of experience: at least 5 years
  • Sales & commercial skills (communication, negotiation, active listening)

Job Summary:

The Automation Application Specialist in the diagnostics industry is responsible for supporting the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of automated diagnostic systems and workflows. This role involves working closely with laboratory staff, customers, and cross-functional teams to ensure that automation solutions meet the needs of the diagnostics processes and enhance overall laboratory efficiency. The Automation Application Specialist will provide technical expertise, training, and ongoing support to ensure the successful deployment and operation of automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implementation and Support:

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and validation of automated diagnostic systems.
  • Ensure that automation solutions are integrated seamlessly with existing laboratory workflows.
  • Provide on-site and remote support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

2. Customer Training and Education:

  • Conduct training sessions for laboratory staff and customers on the use and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Develop training materials and documentation to support users.
  • Ensure users are proficient in operating and troubleshooting automation equipment.

3. Optimization and Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze laboratory workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements through automation.
  • Work with customers to optimize the performance of automated systems.
  • Implement changes and enhancements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Technical Expertise:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on automation technologies and applications in diagnostics.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation and diagnostic technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and customers.

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Ensure that all automation solutions comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO).
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain compliance.
  • Implement and uphold rigorous quality control processes.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, R&D, and customer support, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of installation, configuration, and support activities.
  • Provide regular reports on project progress, system performance, and customer feedback.
  • Document best practices and lessons learned for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automation systems, with a focus on diagnostics or laboratory environments.
  • Strong technical skills and experience with automated diagnostic systems and laboratory equipment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in automation and diagnostics.
  • Fluency in English, Italian and a 2nd EU language (Spanish, German or French)

Working Conditions:

  • This position is Remote based and will require frequent travel to other company locations or to meet with clients and vendors.

We are seeking a Remote Technical Support Engineer   to join our Service team. This role is primarily remote, with regular requirements to be present at the Milan Buccinasco office or at customer sites.

You will be a part of the Technical Assistance Team and report to the Technical Assistance Center Team Leader. If you thrive in an amazing, multifunctional, leadership, fast paced, supporting role and want to work to build a world-class TAC Service organization—read on.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide first-level technical support via phone
  • Escalate complex issues to Field Service Engineers when necessary.
  • Log customer interactions and maintain accurate customer records
  • Coordinate service interventions and dispatch Field Engineers as needed.
  • Prepare and follow up on service quotations.
  • Identify and manage parts required for service jobs.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • University's Scientific degree, preferably in Engineering, with experience with medical devices as user
  • 1 year experience in a similar technical position customer facing
  • Italian native speaker level and English Upper Intermediate (B2 level), in written and mostly in spoken

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • SAP
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Histopathology
  • SalesForce.com
