We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer who will be responsible for taking care the of service business in the specific area assigned to him/her.

This position is part of the Life Sciences Service Department office located in Milano area.

This position reports to The Country Field Service Leader and is part of the Life Science Field Service Team In Italy, located in Milano Area and will be 65% remote and 35% on-site role. In this role you will cover installed base in the North of Italy and sometimes you will support your colleague also in other areas of the country.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure corrective and preventative intervention and qualification on time and with the expected level of quality.
  • Deliver effective and constructive communication with internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ensure the management activities of your task.
  • Contribute to Business development.
  • Contribute to improvement and innovation project.
  • Manage installation of complex projects in integrated solutions
  • Manage in-house repair and calibration

The essential requirements for the job include: 

  • High school diploma or university degree in electronic engineering or similar
  • 2/3 years of experience within automated workstation (preferably in medical environment).
  • Full understanding of automated workflows.
  • Ability to Troubleshoot hardware and software problem in automated systems.
  • Knowledge of the standard procedure and process in the labs.
  • Familiarity with working in sterile or controlled environments.
  • English language with a minimum level B2

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel at least 65% of the time including, overnight, within North Italy and for training purpose in Europe
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30kg and  good manual skills  

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Previous experience in Centrifugation, Automation, Flow Cytometry repair instruments

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Monitor tender opportunities: Actively track and identify new tender opportunities in our markets.
  • Analyze tender documentation: Thoroughly review and interpret tender documents to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate submission: Define and manage the steps for submitting documentation in a timely manner, adhering to all deadlines.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation: Collaborate with Sales Managers, the Technical team, Quality, Legal, Suppliers, and Customers to prepare administrative, technical, and economic documentation.
  • Maintain tender database: Ensure our tender database is regularly updated and accurate.
  • Manage communication: Oversee all incoming and outgoing communications related to tenders.
  • Consult external experts: Seek legal advice from external lawyers when necessary.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years in public tenders within complex industries such as diagnostics, medical devices, oil & gas, or energy.
  • Legal Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Tender Law (Dlgs. 50/2016 and D.lgs.36/2023) and 3 years of experience handling RTI, Avvalimento, and Subappalto in public tenders.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Italian and English.

It would be a plus if you have:

  • Platform Expertise: Strong proficiency in electronic platforms such as MEPA and Sintel.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Educational Background: A degree in Law is advantageous.
