We are looking for a Field Service Engineer Digital Technologies (m/f/d) , who will be preferably based in Roma/Padova/Bologna area .

The Field Service Engineer provides technical service and support in the field on mainly Digital Pathology equipment within Leica Biosystems (LBS), following ISO, FDA, and budgetary guidelines with the objectives of minimizing customer downtime and generating revenue opportunities for LBS.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide installation support, maintenance, modification and/or repair on mainly Digital Pathology instruments.
• Effectively communicate with internal colleagues and external customers within established time guidelines in order to meet customer’s expectations
• Document and complete service administration activities in a timely manner in order to comply with ISO, FDA, and Company policies
• Ensure the on-time and appropriate application of all published Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) that are issued by the Business Unit recommending or mandating updates or changes to the Instruments in the field
• Actively support the sale of service contracts, assist sales representatives and service engineers with system configurations and upgrades, and provide input on ways to improve financial performance in order to generate service revenue
• Broaden knowledge and experience to improve product, application and professional development skills and ultimately, represent the company in a professional manner
• Maintain spare parts stock within budgetary limits in order to maximize “Fast Time Fix” repair metrics
• Control expenses in order to maximize the profit contribution to the company

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Educated in Mechanical, Electronic or Electronical Technology.
• At least 4 years of experience as a FSE in the Biomedical industry, dealing with Hospital equipments (diagnostic laboratories)
• Fluent English (both written and spoken)
• Knowledge of network configuration and setup such as firewalls and TCP/IP networking components in a Windows environment. Remote storage management, domain and non-domain related group policies, firewall knowledge.
• Proven ability to learn in technical areas with limited previous experience.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in Anatomy Pathology will be a plus
• Knowledge of Digital Pathology Integration solutions and software installations advantageous.
• Database management skills, Windows Server 2008 – 2022 & virtual machines.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Willingness to travel extensively (80% of travel activity with some trainings abroad)
• Ability to carry & move up to 25kg safely.

Descrizione del ruolo: il candidato ideale devo aver lavorato su progetti di transizione tecnologica e implementazione di SAP S/4 HANA in contesti complessi.

Responsabilità:

Gestire e coordinare l’area Procurement , SCM , SD , MM (Logistics) e Plant Maintenance all’interno del progetto di trasformazione.

Implementare soluzioni SAP in ambito Procurement & Supply Chain Management

Collaborare con i team interni ed esterni per garantire una perfetta integrazione dei moduli SAP con le esigenze aziendali.

Monitorare e gestire l’implementazione delle best practices SAP in linea con gli obiettivi aziendali.

Gestire le risorse e i processi relativi a SAP S/4 HANA in un contesto Greenfield.

Supportare il team nel raggiungimento degli obiettivi del progetto e nel rispetto delle tempistiche e budget previsti.

Esperienza di almeno 5-7 anni in ruoli analoghi, con particolare focus su SAP Procurement (MM) , Supply Chain (SCM) , Sales & Distribution (SD) e Plant Maintenance (PM) .

Esperienza comprovata in progetti SAP, in particolare implementazioni SAP S/4 HANA e approcci Greenfield .

Director of Engineering at Corinthia Rome

As Corinthia Rome prepares to open its doors, we are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Director of Engineering to lead and oversee the engineering and technical operations of our new luxury hotel. This pivotal role ensures the smooth operation of all building systems while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. You’ll be integral in shaping the hotel's technical infrastructure and ensuring that everything runs seamlessly for both guests and staff.

• As a senior member of our Executive Team, you will take the lead in :
• Lead and manage the engineering department, guiding a team of skilled professionals to deliver exceptional results across all hotel systems.
• Review and coordinate the execution phase of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations. You’ll ensure all installations meet the required quality and are in line with the Corinthia Technical Brand Standards.
• Analyse technical designs, providing feedback for design improvements and value engineering opportunities. You’ll ensure the evolution of designs remains consistent with brand standards.
• Review material and design submittals from contractors to ensure compliance with Corinthia’s approved supplier list and project MEP designs, always adhering to best practices.
• Ensure quality installation by contractors, overseeing that all procedures for equipment handling and installation are being followed rigorously on-site.
• Maintain a constant on-site presence, monitoring developments and proactively identifying potential delays or issues. You’ll coordinate solutions and keep the project on track.
• Create a comprehensive photographic record of the MEP installation process, documenting every stage with detailed drawings, coding, and time-stamped photos. This ensures full traceability and future maintenance clarity.
• Lead the testing, commissioning, and handover process for all MEP systems and equipment. Ensure that all as-built drawings, certifications, and operating manuals are completed and archived.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan to be rolled out at the beginning of hotel operations, ensuring seamless ongoing maintenance.
• Build and lead the engineering team prior to the hotel’s opening, organizing training programs on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and specialized systems.
• Ensure a safe and compliant working environment on-site, addressing potential safety risks and resolving them promptly with the Project Manager.
• Maintain open and effective communication with the project team, contractors, and head-office, fostering a collaborative environment to address any non-MEP issues that may arise during the construction phase.

• At least 5 years of experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role, ideally within the luxury hotel, large-scale hospitality, or similar industries.
• Expertise in managing MEP installations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and energy management systems. Strong understanding of local regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
• Proven ability to oversee complex technical projects from conception through to completion, ensuring all deadlines and quality standards are met.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues, with a focus on innovative solutions and value engineering.
• Ability to recruit, build, and train a skilled engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Strong communication abilities in both English and Italian, with the capacity to convey technical information clearly to diverse teams and senior leadership.
• A degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. Postgraduate certifications or specialized training in MEP systems and building operations are a plus.
