**About the role**
This position is for an **HR Consultant Intern** working at our Milan office, focusing on permanent recruitment.
Our 6-month internship provides you with the foundations to become a specialist and international head-hunter. You will become part of a team of like-minded individuals and will be trained and supported by our People and Performance team and Managers throughout your learning journey. You will attend team core training, e-learning programmes, role plays, and one-to-one coaching sessions as part of your continuous development.
**Key responsibilities**
The internship will be focused into four core modules:
- Market Intelligence Project: the first month, your focus will be on a special market intelligence project that will allow you to gain a thorough understanding of our services, analyse our client companies and competitors, becoming an expert in the market and the various sectors in which we operate.
- Business Development: understanding how to create, build, and keep business partnerships with clients, as well as how and how to anticipate commercial opportunities.
- Technical workshops: understanding the professional networks we specialise in across IT, Finance, Change and Digital.

The Senior Employee Relations (ER) Manager ensures Amazon’s readiness considering the forthcoming EU regulations and looks after trade unions management, employee engagement, and organizational transformation across EU. This role is part of the Employee Experience and Relations (EXR) team, reporting directly to the EU EXR Risk, Project & Compliance leader. The role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders at country, Business lines (BL), pan-EU and global level (notably the Global Labor Relations Team). By doing so, this role enhances Amazon’s compliance, drives positive employee engagement on essential priorities, and increases Amazon’s agility to manage ambiguous and complex situations.
This role can be performed from the following countries: France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, UK. There will be travel required up to 30% of the time, mostly within the EU.
Key job responsibilities
EU REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND COORDINATION: Coordinate the EXR effort related to forthcoming EU regulation, including:
- Working with Public Policy to identify approved and emerging regulations;
- Conducting impact analysis at pan-EU level, and support gap analysis across EU countries;
- Coordinating the preparation required at country level;
- Being accountable for the EXR working backward plan of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
THIRD-PARTY STRATEGY MANAGEMENT: Lead the pan-EU strategy for third-party activities at EU federation level:
- Maintain up-to-date information and external insights about relevant developments and trends;

- Develop the LR framework for major transformation cycles (e.g., site lifecycle milestones) to increase pan-EU standardization, lower costs, and reduce time to deliver while enhancing stakeholders and Associate satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in Employment Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field

The ER Manager works closely with Ops, DSPM and other key in-country stakeholders to support the execution of the country-specific ER strategy. This role involves assisting in the implementation of strategies to address country labour relations challenges for business lines. The ERM provides labour relations support by collaborating with operational teams to advance company objectives.
Key job responsibilities
1. Labour Relations Strategy
- Support the implementation of the EXR strategy
- Assist in delivering business line-specific goals and key initiatives
- Identify potential issues and support risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor internal EXR environment and external operating context
2. Operational Excellence
- Analyze data to support recommendations and measure strategy success
- Ensure compliance of EXR decisions and activities
- Contribute to innovative solutions that challenge current practices
- Support engagement mechanisms to maintain positive workplace environments
- Conduct site visits to gather information for ER risk mitigation
- Contribute to EXR reporting activities
3. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build relationships with peers and internal leaders
- Support project management for initiatives aimed at improving associate and driver experience
- Contribute to the development of standardized ER solutions
The position reports to the Senior Employee Relations Manager AMZL IT, within the EU Employee Experience and Relations Team at Amazon. This is a full-time position that will require significant travel throughout Italy (up to 50% of the time) and beyond on occasion, sometimes with little or no notice.
- Bachelor's degree and professional experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law
- Fluency in Italian and English (CEFR C2)
- Knowledge of Italian labor and employment law
- Experience in project management within a matrix environment
- Master's Degree in Law, Human Resources or related field
- Experience working with third-party contractor workforces
- Experience in distribution, logistics and/or transportation industries
- Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Flexibility and good organizational skills
