We are looking for the person for a newly defined position of Business Operations Specialist, who will oversee key business and financial operations, including credit management, electronic invoicing, agent administration for Italy and Spain. This role ensures efficient management of processes while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. The Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance, support decision-making, and enhance operational efficiency.
You will join our small and highly efficient team in Milan. We highly value cooperation and cross-function support. You can expect a warm welcome and onboarding support. This role is suitable for a self-starter with a good understanding of how commercial teams operate, who likes to work with numbers and is keen to use English and Spanish at work.
Main Accountabilities- Credit Management: Define a local credit strategy aligned with company policy and in agreement with local operational functions; manage credit monitoring and payment collections in line with company policies; perform periodic reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data; manage and resolve payment discrepancies, including sales deductions, to ensure smooth and timely processing of payments; collaborate with the sales team to address payment-related issues, improve processes, and ensure efficient collections.
- Invoicing / Electronic Invoicing: Manage and oversee the invoicing process, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and correct transmission of invoices to the Italian SDI (Exchange System); collaborate with customer service team to resolve any issues related to invoice transmission or validation.
- Sales Agents' Administration: Steer sales agents' commission calculations and ensure the accurate and timely processing of commissions.
- Other Administration Support: Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial data, providing analysis that informs strategic decision-making.
- Extract information from different tools and secure the data to support financial analysis & credit management.
- Proficiency in Italian, Intermediate / advanced level in English, and Spanish knowledge (as a preferred option). A degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in business & finance operations, credit management or administration.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAGE as a preferred option) and managing financial data.
- Proactive, curious self-starter, able to work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, different departments and countries.
- Strong team player, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Overview
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Manager of Business Operations to lead the business operations functions of our growing business in Southern Europe (Italy, France and Iberia). This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring our operating model functions effectively, enabling the business to scale with confidence and clarity. Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Key Requirements:
- 8+ years in senior business operations or general management roles, ideally within fast-growing tech environments or consulting
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex operating models, initiatives end to end and cross-functional collaboration
- Clear and confident communicator, with a proven ability to provide clarity to stakeholders at all levels, particularly in high-paced or ambiguous situations
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support go-to-market teams with operational insights, challenging norms and initiating recommendations for change.
- Adept at using data and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Salesforce) to drive decision-making

About the job
As a Senior Business Operations in Enhanced Support team in our Technical Support division you will engage in a role that directly supports business operations in an effort to achieve the strategic goals of the organization. Leverage domain and industry expertise. Perform research, analysis, and coordination in support of divisional activities on initiatives such as budgeting, project and communication management, policy and procedure development, and strategic planning. Provide problem solving and/or trouble-shooting on company systems or processes. Interact with internal staff, Business Units, subcontractors, and applicable departments at SAS.
As a Senior Business Operations Specialist, you will:
- Manage and/or support the development and execution of business strategies and/or programs; align scope with strategic business objectives and regularly report on status to management.
- Provide leadership and direction to support development and execution of business strategies and initiatives; coordinate activities with other business units within the company; establish operating rhythm of the business to ensure the organization is running effectively and efficiently to met goals and objectives.
- Identify and analyze the business needs of the department or business unit to develop plans for continuous improvement and to help determine solutions to business problems.
- Engage in the project life cycle implementation process to facilitate and support the successful delivery (i.e., resource requests, contracts reviews, service agreements/work orders, project plans, invoices, etc.); manage operational tasks associated with project delivery.
- Investigate options, recommend courses of action and drives implementation of initiatives related to continuous improvement, streamlining operations, and service delivery readiness and capabilities.
- Define and implement standards and best practices to foster collaboration across all areas of the organization.
- Provide resources to facilitate and enhance the value and quality of project delivery (i.e., training/learning, knowledge sharing, etc.).
- Review, analyze and synthesize policies, processes and guidance documents to facilitate understanding and usage by the business.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Training and Development, Accounting, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of eight years of experience researching, analyzing and/or reporting information related to specific area of assignment.
- Experience in working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to identify process optimization and recommend service improvements.
